Then it sounds like you have to head to the first Wisconsin Food Festival in Delavan, Sept. 14-16.
A combination of events and exhibits are offered for you to get a closer look at Wisconsin-made products. Producers like Alsum Sweet Corn, American Skillet Company, Lala’s Nuts, Sassy Cow Creamery, Yahara Bay Distillers and Yumbutter will be there (to name a few).
The event also features a Wisconsin Bike Tour (ride from Madison to Delavan) and two special dinners: Wisconsin Farm Tour & Dinner by Chef Tyler Sailsbery, Chef/Owner of The Black Sheep in Whitewater; and the Wisconsin Heritage Dinner by Chef David Ross, Executive Chef at Lake Lawn Resort.
Tickets are available online. The event is being staged by Locavore Roar and sponsored by The Black Sheep, Lake Area Rentals, Lake Lawn Resort, Turtle Creek Farms, VDB Organics, and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
Sounds like the place to be. If you can’t make it, I’m going to go and report back! Have a good week!
