The weather is getting warmer and Memorial Day is almost upon us…time to start thinking of all the fairs, fests and festivals that liven up Wisconsin. Here’s a few for May devoted to Wisconsin food:
May 24-26: Arcadia Broiler Days, Arcadia. Come for the chicken, stay for the entertainment. Celebrating 60 years, Broiler Days features Gold ‘n Plump chicken cooked on the largest chicken pit in North America.
May 24-27: Chocolate Fest, Burlington. If you like all things chocolate – this is the place to be.
May 24-27: World’s Largest Brat Fest, Madison. It’s a music festival. It’s a run. It’s a walk. It’s a whole lotta brats. Sponsored by Johnsonville, with it’s world’s largest touring grill, you can also expect to see the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
May 31-June 2: Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival, Little Chute. There’s cheese tasting, cheese carving demonstrations, a cheese curd-eating contest, cheese breakfast, cheesecake contest…well, you get the idea. And other entertainment, to boot!
May 31-June 2: West Salem June Dairy Days, West Salem. The June celebration starts in May, a great way to kick off June Dairy Month.
